USA vs. GBR women's curling is the greatest collection of accents in Anglo history.

I still don't understand why curling is a sport.

It is just tossing rocks. Much like NASCAR is just turning left.

Have you tried it? I am just asking. Although I am not a curler, I tried it, it's really hard!!

Nope. Never. As with most sports I'd rather watch than play, and I can't get into it.
edit: That being said I'm not really a sports guy unless it's football, and even then I don't have a favorite team.

Maybe they have a really persistent association.

My girlfriend just found out there's a place near us that has curling in the evenings...it's on the to-do list haha

I see your point. I shame withdraw and simply state that curling (like NASCAR) just isn't for me.

I'm sorry you hate fun.
![]() 02/11/2014 at 11:28 |

It's also EXTREMELY FUN.

It's just about as much of a sport as Cornhole, Horseshoes, KanJam, BocceBall, Ladder Golf, Croquet, Darts, Billiards, BeerPong, Shuffleboard, and Beersbee is.
Drinking game done good.

The one and only time I have been, I was like "Damn these stones are heavy as all hell I'd better use some muscle to toss it". So on my first time out, I using all my muscle (I went to the gym everyday at that time and was pretty strong), pushed the rock as hard as I can. Don't do that.
Yes, the stones are heavy, but there is extremely little friction on ice. My stone flew down the rink and smashed into the end boards with such strength it made a giant bang and most of the arena was looking at me. Better to throw too soft than too hard.

From watching and actually paying attention, it looks hard as shit. Especially how they balance while cleaning/melting the ice O.o

I'm indifferent to fun.

So, what I should do is:
1) take it easy
2) not fall on my ass
Got it. Thanks.

I curled for a few years when I lived up north. It's a ton of fun, and at the time, curling clubs were one of the cheapest places to drink. As an added bonus, a lot of the places stored their beer out near the sheets of ice. I much prefer curling to bowling, when it comes to winter league sports.

Not to mention that the G.B. Curling team is pretty hot.

Ha, I know I am such a curling expert. Me: "Hey everyone don't be an idiot like me"
Everyone else "duh"

Very much enjoying team GB's vocalizations...and overall hotness.
Gol-ly this one and her blonde team mate.. Passion and focus are always attractive. Also gorgeous eyes.
and they are kicking serious ass, they've already set a record or something?
Also interesting how much of a recent hard on there is for curling there they are going for a mastery akin to darts. What I wanna know if its cool to have a pint in my hand at casual arena's/ gamss...

So once every 4 years you can watch hot women from each country yelling "HARD!!!!!!!!"

Yes. Quite a few curling clubs store their beer out in the ice area. Just don't bring your beer/glass onto the sheet.
